If you didn't already know, i blog from the queen city itself, charlotte north carolina. i live in an up-and-coming city, which is starting to become a lot more than just the hub of the nation's banking. our state & cities are overflowing with talent in so many different forms. I'm going to start updating you on places, events, and artists that you should check out that are based out of Charlotte. If you come through our city, be sure to keep an eye out for these things ;), or in this particular case, your ears...

"We’ve got yet another band out of Charlotte, NC, that excites us here at The Blue Indian. Charlotte seems to be a hot hub for up and coming indie talent, as I’m sure by now you know how we feel about the other Charlotte-based bands– All The Bright Lights, John Mark McMillan, Matrimony, and Songs of Water– just to name a few. Well, now you have Older Brother to keep up with. I don’t really know much about the band, but I’m digging their sound. Of course, it’s worth noting that the single, which released over at Bandcamp (digitally) on July 9, 2010, was produced and mixed by the always amazing, Joel Willis. And the EP was mastered by Glenn Tabor. Keep an eye out for this act."
& now...this is where you come in!
Even if you don't live anywhere near the Carolinas, get a taste of Older Brother at http://olderbrother.bandcamp.com/
The downloads are donation based, and so be as generous as you'd like, you won't regret it!
Also, if you live around our parts,
